Course Information

Ceramics I (5015)                            Grade:  9, 10, 11, 12              Half Fine Arts Credit     
Length:  1 Semester
Prerequisite:  Basic Art

  Students will design and construct hand-built pottery using pinch, coil and slab methods of construction.  They will use glazing and other decorating techniques to complete successful designs in clay.

Ceramics II (5025)                                 Grade:  10, 11, 12            Half Fine Arts Credit     
Length:  1 Semester
Prerequisite:  Basic Art, Ceramics I

Students will develop the skills and techniques of wheel-thrown pottery. Students will further develop the skills and techniques of hand-built pottery, glazing, and decorating which were introduced in Ceramics I.
